As part of the transition of VOX to a new server we have also been conducting various upgrades. Linked with both of these changes, we are expecting to find a number of bugs (things not doing what they’re supposed to do). If you come accross a bug whilst you are using VOX, please enter the information below. Thanks!

Firefox users: adding Vox Cafe as a Live Bookmark

Do you know that you can stay updated with the latest posts from Vox Cafe using Firefox Live Bookmark instead of always checking www.voxtropolis.com?

A Firefox Live Bookmark will conviniently display the latest posts from Vox Cafe as a dropdown on your toolbar.

To configure your Vox Live Bookmark follow the directions below:

1. Go to http://voxtropolis.com and click on the orange icon in the address bar. Select one of the three “Add Atom 0.3 as Live Bookmark.” It doesn’t matter which one you select.

2. In the Add Live Bookmark window, make sure that it creates in “Bookmarks Toolbar Folder” and click OK.

3. The same orange icon with Voxtropolis should be added to your tool bar. Right-click over the icon and select properties.

3. For Feed Location enter “http://voxtropolis.com/voxfeed/”

4. Your Live Bookmark is now ready and you can now have access to the latests posts even when you browse other sites. =)

Note: you can follow the same steps and add your favorite Vox to your tool bar as well. =)

Tip: Do you know that you can also add to your Vox page a Vox Cafe feed, your favorite VOX, and other RSS feeds using the sidebar RSS widget?

Tested in Firefox 1.5.0.3 Win XP.

Add a profile pic to your VOX

This will appear on the sidebar of your personal VOX and next to any comments you post.

Have you updated your blog time settings?

When you first set up your Vox blog, the time zone is by default set to Greenwich Mean Time. In order for your posts and people’s comments on your blog to appear in your time zone, you will therefore probably need to adjust your time settings. To do this just read the HowTo on the right hand said or click here. Use the Contact Us form (under “Need Help?”) if you have any further questions about this.

Beta is a term used in computer development circles to define a website, program, or tool that is almost ready for full use but not tested.

Beta testing involves using lots of users to identify bugs, problems, and ways to make the tested item better.

While you’re finding the areas to correct, you make it better and keep going. Thanks for building this community with us.

Help us make it the best possible place to blog.

This Support page is a place where you can find help, ask questions, and submit ideas how we can do things better.

You may be familiar with other blog sites and like features that are available there. We can’t be just like everybody immediately but we’re making progress. Two days ago we didn’t exist. Today you can tell the world your blog name and have them come find you here sharing your voice.
