Found a bug?
As part of the transition of VOX to a new server we have also been conducting various upgrades. Linked with both of these changes, we are expecting to find a number of bugs (things not doing what they’re supposed to do). If you come accross a bug whilst you are using VOX, please enter the information below. Thanks!

Hey! Awesome upgrade, and awesome reason too (Growth!) The only thing I’ve found so far is that a wordpress sign comes up telling me I can’t upload a pic . . .

I haven’t found any new features…where am I missing this? Maybe a “VoxUpdate” sent to all the users would help to know where we can find the new import feature and any others out there.

When I save as a draft the page shows my pic/calendar/archive etc to the right at the top of the page as it should be. However when I actually upload the post the pic/calendar/archive etc are forced to the bottom of all the posts. Why is this? How can I stop it happening?

The “Get a Vox” link on the top left does not seem to function correctly. It leads to an error page.

Great stuff… The “More posts” link that shows the various members leads to an error message.

i get the following error when i try to upload a photo:
Unable to create directory /var/www/vhosts/voxtropolis.com/httpdocs/wp-content/blogs.dir/279/files//2006/10. Is its parent directory writable by the server?

hey guys, i made a comment but did not subscribe to the conversation Yet, i’m getting to email when people comment. i tried to manage my subscriptions but i get this error:

my moderation list is not working correctly, it is not catching the words in the moderation list like it was before the update, I’m also getting the error 404 when I go to the more link on the voxtropolis main page.

Sometimes I see the pictures I’ve uploaded, most of the time I don’t.
Also–on the “write” screen, the upload feature is not showing. Instead, i have the message: “this feature requires iframe support”
i also have a sidebar widget picture that will not show.

I am not able to upload photos. I get this error message:

I even deleted photos and it still didn’t work.

When I click on the “link” button it just shows a bunch of question marks and garbage.

I changed my email address in my profile and went to change it in the General Options section under preferences. When I did this and then it sends me a link in an email (to the new address). I click it and it takes me back to the same page, the the email address is still my old one. Did this several times. I keep doing the same thing with the same results… What does that say about me? Can you help? I mean with my VOX!

I can’t get the VoxCafe page displayed correctly in Firefox 2.0. All I get is white page with hyperlinks and avatars. When I change to IE it comes up fine. All other pages seem fine in Firefox. Any ideas?

Snakesand doves - I actually had the same problem when using Flock (which is built on Firefox).
Niza - one more thing, if you aren’t logged in and are just manually entering info in the name/email/website boxes, have you started using a different email address?

Well, actually…I just realized that my avatar has changed when I leave a comment here on this page. But, it has not changed on my vox.

I can’t change my sidebar widgets. It will only put the default widget (my “Links”) on my blog but my avatar, text, del.ic.ous, etc. will not show up no matter how many times I try to save them.

I am trying to leave a comment on ijourney’s page (ijourney.voxtropolis.com) and each time I click in the comment box to leave a comment it refreshes the page and sends me to the front page again.

Just changed to the new Voxscape and posted (02.04.07) , but when joshallen posted the first comment on it it registered under a different earlier post, Christmas photos on Flickr, but not the new post. However, when entering the new post itself (re blasphemy), it appears there.
The email I got read:

Not really a bug, but some suggestions / requests.
I love the new tarski theme option, but…
- Is there a way of keeping the comments link at the bottom of the post, rather than having to scroll back up to comment?
- Can we continue to show pageviews?
- Is there a way to have the comment entries right below the post? I’ve got a long sidebar, so the comments field ends up being quite a scroll down.
- Is there a way to see who’s subscribed like other themes?
- is there a way of removing the ‘recent posts’ footer widget?
- is there a way of changing the default feed that shows up? i.e. go through feedburner instead?
- and finally, is there a way of scrolling through archived posts rather than by months? i.e. once i reach the bottom of the page, there’s no way of seeing ‘previous posts’ like other themes offer.

Nope! - I’ve given up on the Tarski theme for the moment to avoid it continually misfiling comments. Even having reverted to “Summer” the comments remained misfiled. Mystifying!

just noticed that i can’t seem to center an image in the middle of a post. I think I recall experiencing this before, so likely not a new theme issue.

i’m on a roll with these.
here’s an odd request that would help with customization… is there a way of disabling the auto mp3 player and anarchy media player that loads up when we link an mp3 or video file now? or better yet disable it per post?
also there’s a tiny glitch when you hit the ‘edit this page’ button at the top bar when you’re logged in when you’re on a particular page it actually loads up the edit screen for the last post, not page.

For some reason some comments are going through as needing to be moderated…but also show up on the post itself without me having to actually approve them. THey aren’t spam…they are from regular commenters.

i just started and i’m using the Tarski theme. Not sure if that has anything to do with it, but i’m unable to claim my blog on Technorati. Any idea why? says it doesn’t recognize my username/password. Thank you.

Here’s a new one for me that someone just informed me of. For some reason my ’submit’ button is greyed out when someone tries to comment in IE7 and Opera, but works fine on mozilla based browsers - firefox, flock, seamonkey. any clues on what’s wrong?

wow, someone just messaged me about an issue of comments being disabled, and turns out i had reported on this one six months ago, i had completely forgotten. It looks like the same error is there with ie7 and opera - any updates/workarounds?

I’m just trying to get back to the blog again and wondered if it’s possible to get a newer version of Tarski up. One with the comments problem fixed. It’s nice to put my own piccy up the top, but annoying when comments go in the wrong place.
Anyone help?
